Overview

The Baja California Collared Lizard is found from the desert slopes of the San Jacinto Mountains in Riverside County to south of San José de Comondú in the Sierra La Giganta of the Municipality of Comondú, Baja California Sur. This species extends westward to the Pacific coast south of El Rosario at Mesa San Carlos and there are reports of an isolated population on Tecate Mountain in southern San Diego County which needs confirmation.
