Overview

The Granite Spiny Lizard is found from just north of the San Gorgonio Pass, Riverside County to the Isthmus of La Paz, Baja California Sur. In the northern portion of its range, this species can be found on both sides of the Peninsular Ranges, while on the southern half of its distribution it occurs only on the Gulf versant. It is absent from the Vizcaíno peninsula. The Granite Spiny Lizard is found on Islas Carmen, Coronados, San Francisco, San Ildefonso, San José, San Marcos, and Tortuga in the Gulf of California.
