Overview

The Ring-necked Snake is broadly distributed across North America. Within the Atlas region, this species is found in coastal southern California and northern Baja California. It occurs as far south as Rancho San José (=Rancho Meling) in the foothills of the Sierra San Pedro Mártir. It is also found on Islas Todos Santos Sur and San Martín in the Pacific Ocean.
