Southern California Legless Lizard

The Southern California Legless Lizard is found from central Ventura County south to the vicinity of San Quintín. This species also has a disjunct population north of Bakersfield, California. Within the Atlas region, the Southern California Legless Lizard is absent from higher elevations, but occurs from the coast to desert drainages in southern California and from the coast to the interior foothills in northern Baja California. This species also occurs on Islas Coronado (Sur and Norte) and Islas Todos Santos (Sur and Norte).
