The Rio Grande Leopard Frog occurs naturally from central Texas to southeastern New Mexico, and south to Veracruz, Mexico. This species has been introduced into agricultural areas of Arizona, California, and northwestern Mexico. Within the Atlas region, the Rio Grande Leopard Frog can now be found in the agricultural regions of southern Coachella Valley, Imperial Valley, and the flood basin of the Colorado River in both California and Baja California.
