California Newt
ORDER: CAUDATA | FAMILY: SALAMANDRIDAE
The California Newt is found from central Mendocino County south to Boulder Creek in San Diego County. In the Atlas region, this species is confined to the coastal foothills of eastern Orange and western Riverside counties and in northwestern coastal San Diego County, as well as, isolated populations in Cedar Creek and Boulder Creek, both tributaries of the San Diego River.
